Oh How I Neglect Thee

My poor blog has been so neglected!

Since my last post so much has happened.
I finished my uni course passing the English portion and just passing Maths (which I will have to redo in Semester 3), attended the State of Origin and witnessed Queensland clench their 5 straight series win in a row, celebrated Rhyley's 8th birthday, attended Disney On Ice, we also went to Illuminate Winter Wonderland at Dreamworld and the Royal Brisbane Show (aka The Ekka) and celebrated Father's Day!

I really have to get along with this whole blog thing or otherwise it is going to end up even more neglected :(
I have hardly scraped and unfortunately doubt I will reach my goal of 365 layouts for the year so I am considering reducing it to 100 layouts for 2010 and expanding on that next year.

Anyway here are the few layouts I have managed to do since my last post:

This one was of our Trip to Dreamworld and is photos of Rhyley playing in snow he had so much fun and even though it doesn't really snow in Queensland it is the closet Rhyley has come to the really thing :)

Last but not least is a layout from trip to this year's Ekka. This year we got to do things we normally wouldn't cause we would usually be there to visit Nanny & Poppy who would be working at the Ekka but this year they headed to the Northern Territory to do shows there instead. Even though we missed not seeing them we had a ball exploring this year's Ekka!

Hectic

Wow it has been so busy here since my last post.
I am still studying my uni course which I have exams for in 2 weeks *cringe* I am a little scared cause I haven't sat an exam since Grade 12 which was 13 years ago hopefully I don't get too nervous.

So other than studying we have been busy with school holidays, football, school and heaps more and I have even managed to scrap a bit as relaxation between assignments.
Here is what I've scrapped since last time:

This photo was taken when we went to see the Gold Coast Titans play the Melbourne Storm at Skilled Park during the Easter school holidays. We had a great time and the boys were stoked that the Titans won the game.

This layout was made using photos from Easter. We made Cascarones and before smashing them they were hidden around the yard for Rhyley to find then we all got to smash them on and over each others heads. These we so much fun we are doing it again next year!

This layout is using one of those photos you just cherish because they are so rare. Getting Jason to really smile is near impossible. And I was honoured when Miss Mint choose both this one and the one above for Mint-spirational Monday on her blog.

A Week In The Life Challenge involved creating a layout showing what you did each day for a week obviously. It was huge week filled with study, assignment results, school, Rhyley got an award for participating in the school Fun Run, a memorial service for Rhyley's school friend Steven and his brother Tim and mother Maggie Halliwell who were killed in a car accident, a trip to Ballina to visit Mum and Dad, fishing and Anzac Day.

As you can see it has been hectic around here. I have a few more layouts to post but I will have to save them for the next post.

Study, study, study

Yep that's right I am studying this year!
I decided to do the Tertiary Preparation Program through the University of Southern Queensland.
So this semester I will be studying two subjects Studying to Succeed (which is basically English) and Maths, then next semester I will pick up General Science.
Then after passing these courses I should be able to gain a place in a Bachelor of Nursing with an extra year for a Bachelor of Midwifery.

Of course at the moment studying is taking up most of my free time which means I have very little time to scrap let alone blog about what I've scrapped.
So until the end of June layouts maybe few and far between but hopefully I will still be able to reach my goal of 365 layouts for the year. *fingers crossed*

Goodbye January

Wow where did the last month go?!
Maybe it's just me but January seemed to fly by and tomorrow is February!

Well we have lots on in February. We have Rhyley's paediatrician appointment, my father in-law's birthday, my childhood best friend's 30th birthday, my brother in-law's birthday, Valentine's Day, my mum's birthday, our trip to Sydney, AC/DC concert and me finalising my University course registration!
It is going to be a full on month, February!

So today was all about chilling with Jason and Rhyley and scraping while I am not swamped with things to do.
